From the grey and white paint to the adorably scalloped edging, this shed is great as a standalone piece due to all the detail. In other words, this shed is adorable enough to make your whole backyard look great.

This shed is so gorgeous it looks like some kind of fancy greenhouse. Technically, you probably could turn this shed into a greenhouse, although its primary purpose is to store things. It doesn’t really matter, though, when you have a shed that is this lovely. You could turn it into anything you want, and because of its beauty, you may want to just transform it into a recreational hall!
This wood storage shed is a great element to the backyard setting since its super cute and definitely nifty. Store all your garden tools and even power tools in this shed since its large enough. It even has an adorable covered patio area where you and keep all your chopped wood. It is a good place to keep the wood dry for any upcoming fire pits or barbecues when the weather starts to get warm.
The plans are OK, but I'm pretty disappointed in the customer service. I had my plans destroyed in a rain storm today and was denied any sort of replacement (was wanting a digital copy so I could re-print). Customer service indicated that they were printed only. I would assume this is to prevent people distributing them online, but it's still disappointing.
This charming backyard garden shed has been transformed into a beautiful art studio. Not only is the space relaxing, but also the fact that it was constructed from a shed makes the space much more affordable than having to go and build and office space from scratch. Once you have the groundwork done and your shed layout, you can decorate it any way you choose to make it uniquely you.
When building a solid-concrete block foundation, it’s important that all the blocks be level. However, it’s equally important that the blocks in each row be perfectly aligned. The best — and fastest — way to line up the blocks is with a taut string. Install the first and last block in each row. Then stretch a length of mason’s line along the edge of the two end blocks and use it as a guide to set the intermediate blocks..
Ordering a prehung wood door like this from the lumberyard could cost as much as $1,000, but you can build one suitable for a shed at a fraction of the cost. We purchased clear pine at a home center and spent $120 for the boards. Photos 8 – 10 show how to build the door and mount it to a trim piece with hinges. The door consists of two layers of 3/4-in.-thick boards that overlap at the corners to add strength. Rip 1×6 boards to 4-1/2 in. on a table saw for the outside layer (Figure F, Additional Information below).
Cut the sill piece and assemble the windows with pocket screws. Using a router with a 3/8-in. rabbet bit, rout a 3/8-in.-deep recess on the back of the window to receive the 1/4-in. Plexiglas acrylic sheet (Photo 14). Set the window frame, recessed side down, over a piece of acrylic sheet and trace the shape with a permanent marker. Cut the curve with a fine-tooth jigsaw blade and the straight sections with a fine-tooth blade in a table saw or circular saw.

It is easy to transform a garden shed into a stylish office space with so many design ideas out there. There are plenty of design platforms to help get you going, but when it comes down to it; your space should be uniquely you. Whether you prefer a more luxurious space or just need a space to gather your thoughts, your office shed should be a place you feel comfortable in.

In addition to common building materials that you’ll find at most home centers and lumberyards, we used some special products from Louisiana-Pacific (in-depth material details in project pdfs below) that you may have to order if you want to duplicate our pub shed exactly. The windows are shop built using plastic utility window sash that we found at a local home center. Search for “barn sash” online if you can’t find it locally. The swing-up bar door is site built. The entry door on the side is a standard prehung exterior door that’s readily available at most home centers (about $220). The materials for the pub shed cost us about $6,500.
It is crucial to provide a level and dry foundation for garden sheds. Never assemble a shed on an unsound base otherwise, you run the risk that screw holes connecting the wall panels will not line up. For larger buildings, especially if you’re going to use the shed as a workshop, a full concrete base is your best option. However, there are three main popular types of shed base;
Galvanized steel stanchions, stainless steel wire, and a hardwood cap were used for the railing of this modern shed built by J. C. Stoneman Construction. Located in Port Townsend, Washington, the modern shed features a sliding glass door, clerestory windows, and a pitched roof that overhangs the porch and provides shade. The siding is made of Western red cedar.
Check with your local building department to see whether a permit is required. Also find out if there are rules about where your pub shed can be located on the lot. Take the Materials List (in the project pdfs below) with you to your favorite lumberyard or home center and go over the list with the salesperson to see what items you may have to order. Then set up a delivery so you’ll be ready to build the pub shed when your help arrives. A few days before you plan to dig, call 811 for instructions on how to locate buried utility lines. Now it’s time to start building your pub shed.

I have this vision of one on a 5’x10′ utility trailer, tables, chairs, umbrellas designed to fold & mount on the exterior walls for transport. “Quiet” generator with long cable for refrigeration & lighting. A frat house dream, a fishing hut supplement (even ice fishing), one shed serves my house or your house (not at the same time). Fun could be designing the shelving, storage, displays such that the glass wear won’t break but doesn’t have to be unpackaged for use/display…. I would call it Mo-Bar. Perfect it & sell design to Coleman… lanterns, stoves, and bars;-)

The female version of man caves are she sheds: havens to escape that can be designed and decorated in whatever style the owner desires. Inspired by a tiny hummingbird viewed nearby, this shed is aptly named Hummingbird Cottage. Lovely photos on Instagram reveal that the shed is used for art projects, as a retreat, displaying vintage pottery, and for entertaining friends. Extras like a hanging faux-crystal chandelier, potted flowering plants, wreaths, and stained glass give it a personal touch.

I have a 20 x 30 Garage on skids. The main skids are running North to South. There is a 2 foot over hang on the East and West side which my walls are beginning to fall a little. I tried to place blocks underneath the garage on each corner and after 6 to 9 months the block is beginning to sink into the ground. I did not add gravel the first time. I want to do it right so I dont have to do it again. My plan is to take a small tiller and under each rafter that is running East to West to dig a hole about 8 to 10 inches wide and 12 inches deep 18 inches long and fill with gravel about 6 inches then use mason blocks or pour concrete 6 inches deep and then place 1/2 inch re-bar in an ” X ” position so that when the pressure is pushing down hopefully the re bar will help in keeping it from going downward along with the gravel helping too. I assume to do this about every 4 feet or so. Problem is I have to get the tiller close to the edge of my garage then dig til it get under the wood foundation then I can go under toward the skids. Please give me advice to learn the right way to build a foundation on a heavy Garage.
This simple shed is framed using 2 x 4s and then covered in sheets of pre-grooved plywood to help keep costs under control. When all you are doing is building a tool storage shed, a design such as this is strong enough to handle snow and ice, yet light enough that you can move it around your yard. Note that the owner used the framework to install tool hangers and that he added a single window for light.
As I mentioned before, fully stocking a bar isn’t going to be something most people can afford to do all in one fell swoop. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to fill it up immediately. Buy your favorite liquors, some wine and keep some beer in the fridge. Add to it each month when you have extra cash on hand. But if you want to get it up to snuff, don’t take out a loan. Here are a few creative ways to stock your liquor cabinet in a hurry.
Not sure what to do with the old shed you aren’t using for storage? Refurbish it and turn it into a bar space! This is a fantastic idea for the couple that loves to entertain or the house on the block that is notorious for throwing parties. It is such a cute idea and given there are so many great ideas out there, you can easily turn the space into a chic bar area in no time.
Spread the concrete evenly in the shuttering, taking particular care to push the concrete into the corners and edges. Arguably the best method to lay the concrete is to do it a layer at a time and compact it until the shuttering frame is full. Leave the concrete flush with the top of the framework and smooth it out using either a wooden or plastic float.
From what I’ve gleaned, the trend started in the UK with Community Gardens, where everyone is given an allotment to grow fresh fruit and vegetables. Oftentimes, these allotments have sheds for storing gardening tools and what not. Naturally, folks started enjoying a quick beer or cocktail in these sheds, and eventually, a few people gathered, mini happy hours casually formed, and from there, the natural evolution of bar sheds began.
Phase # one: Talked about previously mentioned earlier determine where you can spot your get rid of inside an optimum area, allow enough distance from hedges or partitions for straightforward access to the sides. Use pegs and twine to attract out your foundation 2 inches (5 centimetres) larger than the location from the developing on either side. Finally, a figure out angled to guarantee the spot is square.
If you need lots of space for storage, garden room, or office space, the most common design will be the gable shed. The gable roof design has two sloped roof that resembles a little house. This design is the most popular because it blends will with your home. The gambrel shed resembles a barn. It is great for storage as no space will go to waste. A larger size gambrel shed will have enough room to build a loft. Having a loft will keep everything organized and allow you to store more stuff. By installing a ramp to the shed you can also store ATV, snowmobiles, jet skis, trailers, and such things.
You can build the walls on any flat surface, but the shed platform is ideal. Snap chalk lines on the plywood deck, 3-1/2 in. from the edges of the platform, to indicate the inside edge of the walls. Measure to make sure the lines are parallel and 89 in. apart. Then chalk a line down the center (Photo 1). You’ll use this line to make sure the angled top plates meet in the center.
